Parks
The Town of Shelby has developed 13 small parks to retain green space and preserve areas where children can play safely, people can picnic or just relax and enjoy a nice day.
Our newest park, Nelson Park, has a gazebo and flowers. It is located
at the intersection of Hagen Road & Pammel Creek Road.
In addition, the town has two larger parks. Mormon Coulee Park is located just off of Hwy 14/61 on Mormon Creek and has 4 shelters that are available for public use. The Enclosed Shelter, Open Shelter #1 and the Lion's Shelter can be accessed via Bloomer Mill Road. Open Shelter #2 is accessed via Park Drive. The Enclosed Shelter and Open Shelter #2 can be reserved for gatherings May 1st-Oct 1st. Reservations are taken after the 1st of January. Payment in full and a signed contract are due within 7 days of making the reservation. Shelter #1 & the Lion's Shelter are available on a first come-first served basis.

A modern concession stand, restrooms and sheltered picnic area are located at the Hillview site, thanks to the generous contributions of individuals and businesses, a grant from the Corinne Zielke Foundation and gallons of volunteer sweat.
